Early Pennsylvania Rag Cloth Doll
Wonderful early 19thC Pennsylvania cloth doll as found wearing all of her original clothing
Blue calico dress ~ pantaloons ~ under blouse with tiny buttons ~ slip petticoat
Stuffed with old cotton batting ~ early home spun cloth body ~ head is old painted ~ face features are pencil for her eyes and mouth ~ nose is old cotton batting that has hardened with age
Back of her head is either a hat with straw underneath with some sort of old black textile over it ~ could have meant to be hair ~
She is wearing her original long black cotton socks over her folky feet
Measuring 14 ½” tall ..
She was found years ago in Lancaster Co. Pa.
