Two early Pennsylvania scissor rests ~ rolled across quilts when they were stretched in the quilting frame . The rests kept the point of the blades from damaging the fabric surface and at the same time made the scissors easier to pick up
Both found together ~ raw cotton can be seen in one ~ one holding early thread two old needles ~
